Nsync News

Hey i could not fit all the news on the frist page so here is some more this does not mean it is all old or not imporant though so please read!

Joe!!!!!

The singer scored some success with his two previous albums, 1993's "Everything" and 1997's "All That I Am," and he stands to expand on his fan base with his new album, which includes appearances by a couple of pop music's heavy-hitters.

Mariah Carey recently featured Joe on her hit single, "Thank God I Found You" (on which 98 Degrees also guested). The remix of that song, featuring both Joe and Nas, is included on "My Name Is Joe."

Joe also hooked up with a certain record-breaking pop quintet known as 'NSYNC for a song called "I Believe In You." In a recent interview with the MTV Radio Network, Joe, who says he's not one for having guests on his albums, had a very positive experience with 'NSYNC.

'NSYNC'S Lance To Join Regis On "Millionaire" Not that he needs the money, but 'NSYNC's Lance Bass will be among the special guests turning up on a celebrity edition of the Regis Philbin-hosted primetime phenomenon, "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire."

Since the idea of Lance playing for money seems a bit redundant, the pop singer will instead play for his favorite charity as will Queen Latifah, David Duchovny, Vanessa L. Williams, Rosie O'Donnell, Kathie Lee Gifford, celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse, and funnymen Drew Carey, Dana Carvey, and Ray Romano.

While the special version of "Millionaire" will be played almost exactly the same way as the regular editions, show organizers are making an exception on one rule, allowing each star to get a shot at the hot seat.

The celebrity games will tape on Friday, April 7 in New York City and will air on ABC over three consecutive days, from May 1 through May 3.

To steal a phrase originally coined for Frank Sinatra: it's 'NSYNC's world, we just live in it.

When SoundScan sales figures were released on Wednesday, the boy band cemented its full-blown phenom status as the group sold a whopping 2.4 million copies of its "No Strings Attached" album in just one week in stores. The mark sets a new record for best one-week sales and more than doubles the previous record set by the Backstreet Boys' "Millennium," which sold 1.13 million its first week out in May 1999.

"I don't think we ever felt like we were in their shadow," 'NSYNC's Justin Timberlake told MTV News' Brian McFayden of overtaking Backstreet's record. "We have our own thing going on. It's just that with this album title, we took such a bold approach that people started to recognize it," [RealVideo] Justin added while speaking via satellite from Japan Wednesday morning.

'NSYNC's monster sales figures are also almost ten times greater than that of the number two record album in the country, Santana's "Supernatural," which sold 265,000 copies last week. And for even more perspective, ponder this: "No Strings Attached" sold more copies last week than the rest of the "Billboard" top 20 combined.

'NSYNC's record week may not have been simply the result of a wide fan base and effective marketing. Many 'NSYNC fans were spotted buying numerous copies of "No Strings Attached," some simply to have more than one, and others to specifically help the group break the Backstreet Boys' sales record.

Believe it or not, there's more happening on next week's "Billboard" album chart than 'NSYNC. In the realm of artists who were never Mousketeers, veteran rapper Ice Cube posted the highest debut of the week as his "War & Peace Vol. 2 (The Peace Disc)" sold more than 185,000 copies to come in at number three. Close behind were the modern metal diehards of Pantera, whose "Reinventing The Steel" sold more than 161,000 copies to debut at number four.

The latest musical offering from the WWF also cracks next week's top ten as the wrestling outfit's hip-hop tie-in album "WWF Aggression" (featuring Method Man, Run-D.M.C., Ol' Dirty Bastard, and others) sold more than 109,000 copies to land at number eight. The week's other notable debuts include The Murderers at number 15, Trina at 33, Led Zeppelin at 81, Aqua at 82, Joni Mitchell at 89, Tamar at 127, Patti Smith at 178, and Fatboy Slim at 195.

Free and clear of their recent legal woes, the men of 'NSYNC are delivering a new album to stores this week and hope that another long-in-the-works project will soon arrive as well.

"We're actually doing a home video now," the group's Lance Bass told MTV over the weekend. "We're taking some footage that we shot from when we first got together, and it's very funny."

"It's not just always on stage and big and huge," 'NSYNC's J.C. Chasez added. "It's like chillin' at home, being normal."

The group's Joey Fatone noted, "It's everything from travelling to toboggan rides to...."

"Our first gigs," [RealVideo] Justin Timberlake concluded.

There's no official word yet on when that archival footage will hit stores, but fans will no doubt be content for at least a little while with 'NSYNC's "No Strings Attached." The album arrives on Tuesday, bringing with it 12 new tracks (including the hit "Bye, Bye, Bye") as well as shout outs to Britney Spears, Muppet creator Jim Henson, and the group's security guards in its liner notes.
